LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Miley Cyrus has taken a rather permanent stand in favor of gay marriage, by inking an equal sign onto her finger.
"ALL LOVE is equal," Miley Tweeted on Friday, along with a picture of her new tattoo.
The bold statement from the 18-year-old former Disney darling quickly caused a flurry of fan responses (not all of which were favorable), prompting Miley to fire back.
"Where does it say in the bible to judge others?" she Tweeted to one of her followers. "Oh right. It doesn't. GOD is the only judge honey. 'GOD is love.'"
This is not the first time the "Party in the USA" singer has voiced her support for LGBT rights.
After Casey Anthony was found not guilty on murder charges, Miley Tweeted, "You know the world is skewed when people get away with murdering children but we cant get gay marriage legalized in the state of California."
The new tattoo joins Miley's various other body art, including a heart on her little finger, anchor on her wrist, dreamcatcher on her ribcage, and the words "Just Breathe" on the left side of her chest (in honor of a friend who died of cystic fibrosis).

Caribbean Airlines crash-lands at Guyana's airport

planeA major disaster was somehow avoided when a Caribbean Airlines jet early Saturday morning ran off the runway on landing at Guyana's Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) and broke into two.
There were no fatalities. Health minister Dr. Leslie Ramsammy told Demerara Waves Online News (www.demwaves ) at the CJIA that the most serious injuries were a broken leg and a mouth bleed.
Reports say there were 154 passengers and eight crew members aboard Flight BW 523 which connected from New York to Florida to Port of Spain. The incident occurred around 1.25 AM while the flight had been expected since 9.45 PM Friday.
Firefighters, soldiers, police and officials from the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority are currently on the scene.
Private hospitals had been placed on alert in keeping with a disaster response plan but were subsequently demobilised.
Geeta Ramsingh was seated in the first row of economy class in Seat 8E.

"He touched  down with a force. The touch was unusual and the plane took off with a speed.  Some people clapped and some people started hollering when they smell the gas," said the Guyana-born US citizen who resides in Pennsylvania.

Ramsingh, who recently underwent a major intestinal surgery, said when she jumped off the wing and landed someone else jumped on her and she sustained a bruised knee. She also said her abdomen was feeling shaken.
"We are very very thankful and grateful that there are no deaths. They have to make a decision on reopening the airport," President Bharrat Jagdeo said at CJIA.
The plane, a Boeing 737-800, which the airline reportedly began leasing in April from Ireland-based Macquarie AirFinance, was broken in two.
A Georgetown Public Hospital official told that passengers were coming in to the Accident and Emergency Unit by the bus loads but confirmed there were no serious injuries.
The official said additional doctors had been called in and that everyone was being checked out.
It remains unclear how long the airport will remain closed.
Meanwhile, Caribbean Airlines in a statement on its website said the incident occurred at approximately 1.32 AM.
"Caribbean Airlines immediately activated its emergency response programme and is in direct contact with the relevant authorities. The airline’s primary concern at this time is for those on board the aircraft and their families," it read.
The airline is expected to hold a press briefing at 7 AM in the VIP lounge at Trinidad's Piarco International Airport.

Soulja Boy's 21st Birthday Gift To Self -- $55 Million G5 Jet

Most young adults would be content celebrating their 21st birthday with a trip to Las Vegas, but rap superstar Soulja Boy had a grander idea.
For his 21st birthday Thursday, the Atlanta rapper bought himself a $35 million dollar private jet, a rep from his management team reportedly told TMZ.
But apparently, the G5 jet needed some "Pretty Boy Swag" upgrades. According to reports, Soulja will be spending an additional $20 million dollars to add flat screen TVs, 4 liquor bars, a dozen Italian leather seats, Brazilian hardwood cabinets, and travertine tiled flooring.
The restroom will be remolded and enlarged, and the aircraft will get a new custom paint job featuring his logo.
A spokesperson for Soulja Boy had not responded to our request to confirm the jet purchase by press time.
On Friday, the "Crank That" rapper, will host a birthday extravaganza in Miami believed to cost $300,000. Sean Kingston, Bow Wow, and Dwight Howard are expected to attend. The event will be streamed live from at 11 p.m. eastern.
In April, Soulja Boy told Hip Hop Media Training that he was planning to team up with MTV for a Las Vegas-based bash. "MTV [is going to] be doing my birthday party. It's going to be in Vegas. I'm going to be in Vegas," Soulja Boy said. "MTV is going to be doing it just like I did my swag eighteenth party. I don't know. It's going to be my first time being 21. So I'm just gonna do me."

Pray Away The Gay

Pray Away The Gay

In many religious communities, prayer is a solution for everything. Finances, marriages, parenting woes, you name it; prayer changes things. It’s no secret that the power of words, meditation, and faith has inspired people beyond dire circumstances. In fact, some would argue that prayer has taken many to a better place, encouraging surrender to a higher power for a solution to an obstacle. But prayer, like religion, should remain an individual choice. Its power should be judged by individual results. And certainly, its believers should not push its “potential” on others as a cure to their sexual orientation.
In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder, followed by the American Psychological Association Council of Representatives, in 1975, concluding that same sex attractions, feelings, and behaviors are normal and positive variations of human sexuality. Almost forty years later, there are religious-based “reparative therapy” groups encouraging lesbians, gays, and bisexuals to “turn their lives around” and “pray away the gay.”
According to Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, a licensed clinical psychologist that helps people develop their “heterosexual potential,” it is possible to reduce same-sex attractions and fight against their “life-disrupting power.” As a co-founder of the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH), Nicolosi believes that bodies are made for heterosexuality, and reparative therapy is an effective solution for modifying sexual orientation.
The American Psychological Association has released dozens of research studies on homosexuality and the ineffectiveness of reparative therapy. The APA reports that while some “reparative” therapists claim the ability to change their clients’ sexual orientations from homosexual to heterosexual, close scrutiny of these reports have suggested otherwise. Often, these reports are poorly documented, as reparative treatment outcomes rarely are followed and reported over time. Without this longevity research, these studies fail to meet the standard of validity required of any mental health intervention research.
The APA also notes that the patients pursuing reparative therapy tend to have strong, conservative religious views that encourage them to change their sexual orientation. It’s often stigma that drives these patients into reparative therapy, not necessarily an innate desire to change their sexual attractions.
There have been criticisms raised to Nicolosi’s NARTH regarding a controversy that involved NARTH board member and reparative therapy psychologist George Rekers hiring a gay male prostitute to accompany him during a trip to Europe. As New York Times journalist Benoit Denizet-Lewis writes, “Many ex-gays admit to struggling with same-sex attraction years after they’ve rejected a gay identity, and a handful of high-profile leaders in the movement have been humbled by public slips or ‘relapses,’ a word borrowed from the language of addiction recovery.”
As the APA has condemned reparative therapies as invalid and potentially harmful to patients, religious fundamentalists, like U.S. Presidential Candidate Michele Bachmann, continue to tout homosexuality as “personal enslavement.” But who is really personally enslaved? Is it lesbians, gays, and bisexuals that freely accept their sexual desires? Or is it ill-informed citizens that refuse to recognize that there is no solution to sexual orientation?
The answer seems pretty apparent.

Nice man bangs!
Although Justin Bieber ditched his trademark 'do months ago, it hasn't stopped other celebrities from sporting a similar style.

First, was Tom Brady, who was seen at an NBA finals game with hair cut in long, shaggy layers and heavy, side-swept bangs.

Now, another Bostonian has stepped out with a hair 'do reminiscent of Bieber's.

Actor Ben Affleck, who usually rocks a short crop, stepped out in Los Angeles on Sunday, revealing some longer, flat-ironed locks.

But the father-of-two and husband to actress Jennifer Garner, is rocking the new style for good reason.

His rep told People that the new look is for his role in a new movie "Argo," which he is starring in, directing and co-producing.

Affleck isn't the only man in Hollywood who has recently changed his hairstyle for a movie role. His good pal, Matt Damon, debuted a shaved head in Canada for his new film "Elysium," while actor Jake Gyllenhaal also went bald to play a cop in "End of Watch."Ben Affleck recently stepped out in Los Angeles with a haircut similar to singer Justin Bieber's.

Amy Winehouse Autopsy Inconclusive on Cause of Death

Amy Winehouse Autopsy Inconclusive on Cause of Death and Funeral Schedule for Tuesday

Amy Winehouse Back to Black_20110723125136_JPG
(NewsCore) - The funeral for Amy Winehouse has been scheduled for Tuesday, four days after the British singer was found dead at her home in North London, a family spokesman told Sky News.

An autopsy conducted Monday was inconclusive in determining the cause of the singer's death and officials will now await toxicology tests for more information. The tests could take between two to four weeks.

The inconclusive autopsy came as a coroner's investigation was opened and later adjourned to allow the star's family to make arrangements for her funeral tomorrow.

A coroner's officer at St. Pancras Coroner's Court told the hearing that Winehouse's body "was identified by her family here at St. Pancras [Monday] morning."

The singer was found dead Saturday. "The scene was investigated by police and determined non-suspicious," the coroner's officer added.

The "Rehab" singer had been troubled by alcohol and drug problems throughout her career, but police reiterated Monday that it was too early to speculate on a cause of death.

Earlier Monday, the Grammy-winning singer's father told fans gathered outside her London home that he was "devastated and speechless" over her death.

Mitch Winehouse was joined by the 27-year-old's mother, Janis, to look at tributes -- including alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, soft toys, flowers and candles -- left by fans at the edge of a police cordon surrounding the residence.

"Amy was about one thing, and that was love," he told mourners. "Her whole life was devoted to her family and her friends and to you guys [fans], as well. We're devastated, and I'm speechless, but thanks for coming."

The star's grief-stricken mother was in tears as she looked at the tributes and took pictures of them on her cell phone.

Paramedics were called to the soul singer's house Saturday afternoon, but she was said to be "beyond help" and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her home in London.
The Back To Black singer was found at the property by emergency services at 3.54pm this afternoon, according to sources, and her death is being treated as 'unexplained' by police.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: 'Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

'On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
'Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.’
It is not known whether Amy’s father Mitch actually knows about his daughter’s death and Sky News have confirmed that he is currently on a plane to New York to take part in a Jazz festival.

Winehouse had been seen with her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield earlier this week as the teenager took to the stage at the iTunes festival.
She refused to join in for Mama Said, but did support the 14-year-old with a few dance moves before urging the crowd to buy Dionne's new album Good For The Soul.
A source said: 'Amy staggered onstage and grabbed the mic to beg the crowd to buy her protege’s new album.'

Winehouse's appearance at the concert came after she cancelled her European tour following a disastrous performance in June when she stumbled onto the stage in Belgrade and gave an incoherent performance appearing very disorientated and removed from reality.
Following the concert which saw fans enraged and the subsequent video that circulated to millions she cancelled the remaining dates of her European tour.
A statement released by the troubled singer's spokesperson said that the singer would be given 'as long as it takes' to recover.
The statement read: 'Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances.

Radio DJ Fearne Cotton said: 'Can not believe the news. Amy was a special girl. The saddest news.'
Singer and presenter Myleene Klass wrote: 'OMG. Amy Winehouse. Exceptional talent and really nice lady. RIP.'
Presenter Phillip Schofield added: 'Just heard the sad news that Amy Winehouse has died. At only 27 what a terrible waste of a great talent. Sincere condolences to her family.'
Singer and radio presenter Emma Bunton said: 'Such sad news about Amy Winehouse. My thoughts are with her family.'
'Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen.'
Winehouse had been working on her long-awaited new album, the follow-up to her 2006 breakthrough multi-million selling Back To Black, for the past three years.
Winehouse has had a troubled life which has included various stints in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
In an interview in 2008, her mother Janis said she would be unsurprised if her daughter died before her time.
She said: 'I've known for a long time that my daughter has problems. But seeing it on screen rammed it home. I realise my daughter could be dead within the year. We're watching her kill herself, slowly.
'I've already come to terms with her dead. I've steeled myself to ask her what ground she wants to be buried in, which cemetery. Because the drugs will get her if she stays on this road.
'I look at Heath Ledger and Britney. She's on their path. It's like watching a car crash - this person throwing all these gifts away.'
As well her battles with drugs and alcohol, Winehouse also had a troubled marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil, who she divorced in summer 2009.
Fielder-Civil and Winehouse married in 2007 in Miami. The pair's relationship - heavily documented by the media - saw them appearing in public bloodied and bruised after fights.
It is also alleged former music video producer Fielder-Civil was the one who introduced the Back to Black star to heroin and crack cocaine.

Rebecca Black's 'My Moment' Gets Harsh Reviews, 115K Dislikes [OFFICIAL VIDEO]

Rebecca Black has debuted "My Moment," her second single. The budding singer nabbed Brandon "Blue" Hamilton, who has also worked with Justin Bieber and Quinton Tolbert to help write the song. In her second effort, Black sings about going from the YouTube "Friday" sensation to a full-fledged star.
Even with the help of Hamilton and Tolbert, the song lacks originality and depth. Black sings, "Weren't you the one who said that I would be nothing? Well I'm about to prove you wrong. I'm not the only one who believes in something. My one wish is about to come true. I'm not stopping for you. No matter what'cha do. I'll just keep on dreaming. My head up in the clouds when nobody's around to see.
"This is my moment! My moment. It's my time. Fly'n high. Lime light. Feels like my moment. My moment. I've waited for so long. But now everybody knows. This is my moment. My moment."
Whether or not Black has proven that this is in fact her "moment," the question is whether she can keep the spotlight on her so she can continue to fly high. Black's song lacks vocal range, and choosing to sing about her rise to fame may be the "fly'n high" singer's ticket back down to planet earth.

Her video shows her going from a studio, to a Junior High dance party, to the red carpet. Black is shown with fans, and holding a newspaper with the title "Meet Rebecca Black, the Internet's 'Friday' girl" across the top. Black has cute little bubbles in the video, plays air drums and gets dolled-up in a make-up chair.
As Black watches her back-up dancers practice, she giggles with excitement, and then joins the group to show no real dancing talent of her own.
The video ends with Black in a limo arriving at a theater with her name on the marquee. Black dances for the paparazzi in her red Marilyn Monroe ensemble.
Despite any talent showing through in her latest single, Black certainly has taken to the limelight, and it's possible with the right direction and song selection, Black could be the next music sensation to last no longer than 15 minutes.
It's clear that the camera likes her; she also shows her comedic side, which works well for her. Her constant smile is contagious, and her voice is not bad. Perhaps, as the young songstress grows into a full-fledge teenager, she can ditch the soft bubble-gum pop and show more of her true potential. Otherwise, it's possible her "moment" will be short-lived.
Her lyrics say, "I'm about to prove you wrong," and if Black is going by record sales, then she already proved many wrong. If she's going off talent, it remains to be seen if she can stand the test of time. The official music video for "My Moment," which has been seen over 1,407,665 times, has 115,788 'dislikes' and only 71,316 'likes' on YouTube.
Twitter responses for Black's latest single are mixed. One user tweeted "That awkward moment when you realize Rebecca Black has a new song ... and even more awkward when you find out is not as bad as the first one."
Another user wrote, "Best parts in Rebecca Black's new video is the little gestures and faces she makes showing her sense of humor."
"Rebecca Black's new video #MyMoment logged a million hits in less than 24 hours. 750,000 hits were Black checking how many hits she had," wrote another Twitter user.
"Rebecca Black's new song is so so much better than Friday. Now she just needs to actually sing & not rely so much on autotune," writes another user.
OK Magazine tweeted, "CHEESE alert: Rebecca Black has released a new single/video - it's hysterical."
And as to be expected, some users are continuing with the "Friday" jokes. One user wrote, "Can someone tell me why the follow up song to Rebecca Black's FRIDAY, is not called SATURDAY?"
And, "Why is Rebecca Black trending? It's not Friday yet.. awkward."
But not everyone is hating on Black. One fan tweeted, "I love how Rebecca Black didn't stop her career because of the hates of "Friday", but she keeps going on. that is strength @MsRebeccaBlack ♥"
